Slim Gritty is an Australian Artist who in variable line-ups is no stranger to gigs and festivals both at home and abroad.

Slim enjoys drawing on the timeless energy of the roots Americana genre, in particular Rockabilly and contributing styles of Hillbilly Country, RnB and Blues.  Upon these rich foundational styles, Slim builds his own original unique compositions and crafts lyrical stories with a present-day relevance. that are sometimes poignant, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always Gritty.

Slims live performances are always upbeat and uplifting. His wide appeal finds him equally at home on stage at gigs, festivals and events be they Mainstream or Indy, or particularly catering to a, Custom Culture/ Nostalgia Rock, Roots Country/Blues bent audience. 

Receiving much acclaim amongst his peers, Slims debut more Rockabilly style 12 track album ‘Movin On Down The Line’ was released late 2019 featuring the singles 'Another Man', ‘Gringo’, ‘One More Chance’ and ‘Movin On Down The Line’. He followed this up with a Roots Country/Hillbilly six song EP entitled ‘Lil’ Bit Country’ in 2021. Initially releasing as singles, the rich romantic Country ballad 'One More Kiss' and later the quirky track described as a Hillbilly requiem ‘Heading Towards the Sun’. These releases thus far have garnered considerable worldwide radio airplay, digital traction and a developing profile recognition.

 

The past year or so has been focused on live performances, collaborating with other musicians and building upon his repertoire. There are now more Gritty tunes in the pipeline nearing impending release, which Slim is hoping to back up with some major festival spots and international tours.
